This privacy policy ("Policy") describes how Wallfacer Technologies Inc. and its related companies ("Company") collect, use and share personal information of consumer users of this website, https://wallfacer.ai (the "Site"). This Policy also applies to (i) the Wallfacer application (the "Application"), and (ii) any of our other websites or applications that post this Policy. This Policy does not apply to websites or applications that post different statements.
What We Collect
We get information about you in a range of ways.
Information You Give Us
We collect your first name, last name, email address as well as other information you directly give us on our Site or in the Application.
Information We Get From Others
We may get information about you from other sources. We may add this to information we get from this Site. If you agree to an onboarding lookup when you create an account, we get public information about your work from People Data Labs and public web pages, as described in Onboarding Profile Lookup.
Information Automatically Collected
We automatically log information about you, your computer, and your use of the Application. For example, when visiting our Site, we log your computer operating system type, browser type, browser language, the website you visited before browsing to our Site, pages you viewed, how long you spent on a page, access times and information about your use of and actions on our Site.
Cookies
We may log information using "cookies." Cookies are small data files stored on your hard drive by a website. We may use both session Cookies (which expire once you close your web browser) and persistent Cookies (which stay on your computer until you delete them) to provide you with a more personal and interactive experience on our Site. This type of information is collected to make the Site more useful to you and to tailor the experience with us to meet your special interests and needs.
Signing In With Google
You can choose to sign in to the Application with your Google account. If you do, this is how we handle the information Google gives us.
What We Receive From Google
When you sign in with Google, we ask Google for three permissions only: openid, email, and profile. Through them we receive your name, your email address, whether Google has verified that address, your profile picture, and the identifier Google assigns to your account. We do not request and cannot access your Gmail messages, contacts, calendar, Google Drive files, or any other Google data.
How We Use Google User Data
We use this information for these purposes only:
- To create your Wallfacer account and sign you in to it.
- To confirm that you control the email address on your account.
- To show your name and profile picture inside the Application, to you and to the people in the accounts you belong to.
- To send you messages about your account and the service.
We do not use Google user data for advertising. We do not sell it. We do not use it to develop, improve, or train artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
How We Store and Protect It
We store your name, email address, profile picture, and Google account identifier in our production database, which is hosted with our cloud provider in the United States. It travels between your device and our servers only over encrypted connections, and access to it is limited to the staff and systems that need it to run the service. We do not store your Google password, and we do not keep the access tokens Google issues during sign-in once sign-in is complete.
Who We Share It With
We do not share Google user data with third parties, except with the service providers that host and operate the Application on our behalf and are bound to protect it, or when the law requires it. We do not transfer it to anyone for their own use.
Keeping and Deleting It
We keep this information for as long as your Wallfacer account exists. You can delete your account from the Application, or ask us to delete it by writing to [email protected]. When an account is deleted, we keep it recoverable for 30 days in case the deletion was a mistake, and then delete the Google user data tied to it for good. You can also remove Wallfacer's access at any time from your Google account's security settings at myaccount.google.com/connections.
Google API Services User Data Policy
Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Use of Personal Information
We may use your personal information as follows:
- To operate, maintain, and improve our sites, products, and services.
- To process and deliver contest entries and rewards.
- To respond to comments and questions and provide customer service.
- To send information including confirmations, invoices, technical notices, updates, security alerts, and support and administrative messages.
- To communicate about promotions, upcoming events, and other news about products and services offered by us and our selected partners.
- To link or combine user information with other personal information.
- To protect, investigate, and deter against fraudulent, unauthorized, or illegal activity.
- To provide and deliver products and services customers request.
- To fill in your profile when you agree to an onboarding lookup, and to help our staff understand who they are talking to when they follow up with you.
Sharing of Personal Information
We may share personal information as follows:
- With your consent. For example, you may let us share personal information with others for their own marketing uses. Those uses will be subject to their privacy policies.
- When we do a business deal, or negotiate a business deal, involving the sale or transfer of all or a part of our business or assets. These deals can include any merger, financing, acquisition, or bankruptcy transaction or proceeding.
- For legal, protection, and safety purposes.
- To comply with laws.
- To respond to lawful requests and legal processes.
- To protect the rights and property of the Company, our agents, customers, and others. This includes enforcing our agreements, policies, and terms of use.
- In an emergency. This includes protecting the safety of our employees and agents, our customers, or any person.
- With those who need it to do work for us.
- With People Data Labs, when you agree to an onboarding lookup. We send it your name, email address, and the company domain inferred from a work email. If you give us a LinkedIn or X profile link to try again, we send that too.
- Aggregated and/or anonymized data with others for their own uses.
Onboarding Profile Lookup
When you create a Wallfacer account, the first screen asks whether we may look up public information about your work to fill in your profile. We run the lookup only if you agree, and only after you verify your email address. If you decline, we run no lookup and you fill in your profile yourself. People who join an existing account by invitation are not asked and are not looked up.
What We Look Up
We look up professional information only: your name, the company you work for, your job title, what you work on, and the address of your public LinkedIn profile. We never record family, health, political views, religion, a home address, or personal social media accounts.
Where We Look
- People Data Labs, a people-data vendor. We send it your name, email address, and the company domain inferred from a work email. If you give us a LinkedIn or X profile link to try again, we send that too. It returns professional information it holds about you, such as your job title, your company, and your LinkedIn profile address.
- Public web pages, found with a web search for your name and company.
- A LinkedIn or X profile link, if you give us one to try again after a lookup that did not find you.
What We Store and for How Long
- We show you what we found in three fields (Name, Company, and Your work), and you can edit any of them before you confirm. If we are not confident that what we found is about you, we show you empty fields instead.
- Until you confirm, we keep the results and links to the sources they came from, so you can come back and finish. Results you do not confirm within 30 days are deleted.
- When you confirm, we delete the looked-up results and their sources. We keep the three fields as you confirmed them, and a record of which fields you changed, which we use to measure how accurate the lookup is.
- We do not store the full record People Data Labs returns, only the values we use to fill in your profile.
- If People Data Labs tells us you have asked it to delete your data or opt out, we delete any unconfirmed results that came from it.
Who Can Read It
You, and Wallfacer staff, who use your profile to understand who they are talking to when they follow up with you. Staff can also see results you have not yet confirmed, marked as unconfirmed, and the sources they came from. Other members of your account and Wallfacer's AI agents do not read your profile.
Changing or Deleting It
- You can edit or clear any field of your profile under Settings > Profile in the Application.
- Deleting your account deletes your profile.
- To have us delete everything the lookup found about you, email [email protected] from the address on your account. We delete it, and we pass your request on to People Data Labs.
Information Choices and Changes
- Our marketing emails tell you how to "opt-out." If you opt out, we may still send you non-marketing emails. Non-marketing emails include emails about your accounts and our business dealings with you.
- You may send requests about personal information to our Contact Information below. You can request to change contact choices, opt-out of our sharing with others, and update your personal information.
- You can typically remove and reject cookies from our Site with your browser settings. Many browsers are set to accept cookies until you change your settings. If you remove or reject our cookies, it could affect how our Site works for you.
Privacy Rights
Depending upon your location and in accordance with applicable laws, you may have the right to:
- Access personal information about you consistent with legal requirements. In addition, you may have the right in some cases to receive or have your electronic personal information transferred to another party.
- Request Correction of your personal information where it is inaccurate or incomplete.
