The Three-Body Problem: The new Netflix epic from the creators of Game of Thrones

The Three-Body Problem is an upcoming science-fiction series on Netflix, adapted from the acclaimed Chinese novel written by Liu Cixin. The series will center on humanity’s first contact with a distant alien race, however, the aliens are not coming in peace as the story eventually becomes an inter-species conflict between humanity and the aliens. The story spans from the Chinese cultural revolution in the ’60s to the “end of time.” The series has a star-studded lineup of executive producers including David Benioff, D.B. Weiss, Brad Pitt, Rosamund Pike, and Rian Johnson who is familiar with the genre after his work in the Star Wars franchise. The series is described as a “sweeping story of Earth’s past, present, and future” by Netflix. The series co-star Liam Cunningham, who played Ser Davos Seaworth in Game of Thrones, emphasized the series will be accurate to the book.
